It has been nearly two decades now since the massive
work of profiling Alaska, its people, communities and environment
was undertaken as part of the Federal Coastal Zone Management
Program. Many specialists worked on putting together the diverse
information, maps, photographs, and graphics.
The set of oversize Regional Profiles were published by the University
of Alaska, Arctic Environmental Information and Data Center for
the State of Alaska, Office of the Governor and The Joint Federal-State
Land Use planning Commission for Alaska. There is no date of publication,
but Jay Hammond was Governor of Alaska.
These publications provide a valuable education
and research resource for anyone working or studying in Alaska.
