Request
for contributions to the:
Alaska
Native Education Resource Guide
We need your help!
On behalf of First Alaskans Institute, McDowell Group, an Alaska research
and consulting firm, has been asked to compile a web-based directory
of people/programs/organizations that are involved in Alaska Native
education. We know that each region in Alaska has people
and programs geared toward Alaska Natives, and we want to include this
information in our directory. We are interested in capturing a
wide array of programs, including curriculum development, language programs,
teacher training and development programs, cultural programs, scholarships/financial
support, and more.
Specifically, we are requesting:
Name of Program
Contact Name/Title
Address
Telephone/Fax/Email
Web-site (if available)
Short description of the program
We need your information by October 31, so that it can be built into
the web design in time to be unveiled at the 2nd Annual Alaska Native
Education Summit to be held Monday and Tuesday, December 9 and 10, at
the Egan Center in Anchorage.
First Alaskans Institute (FAI) pursues its mission by focusing on initiatives
in the areas of education, leadership development, and policy development.
FAI sees to advance education for Alaska Natives by strengthening educational
achievement at all levels, funding targeted programs to effect systemic
change, and providing scholarships and special funding for higher education
and occupational training.
