Švarný Carlson,

originally from
lluula{, Unalaska
was the Association of Unangan/Unangas Educator's first
president and remains actively involved as a current board member.
She lives in Anchorage with her husband and sons for whom she
makes a home while working on projects involving education and
the traditional knowledge and language of the Unangan/Unangas.
Barbara earned a double teaching certificate in special and
elementary (K-9) education with a minor in psychology.
Barbara is holding an
orphaned otter. Never in her wildest dreams did she ever imagine
she'd have the delight of holding an otter pup!
